The Good Heating Co’s highest responsibility and top priorities are compliance and the health, safety and well-being of our customers and staff.

We have put in place health and safety procedures based on the government and public health organisations expert advice on the latest knowledge around COVID-19 protection and mitigation.

All employees are well-trained to identify the symptoms of Covid-19 and have been instructed not to come to work if they are feeling unwell or had contact with anyone who is suspected or confirmed as having Covid-19. As an added precaution, employees who report feeling unwell in any way are asked to check their temperatures before commencing work. If an employee is displaying any symptoms relating to the virus, they will be sent home.

All of our staff have been given comprehensive training on hygiene and cleanliness standards and will undergo any further POSI (prevention of the spread of infectious disease) training should it be required.

During a call, out and customer visit the following procedure has been put in place to ensure the safety of our customers and staff;

  • All engineers and staff are provided with and are required to wear PPE, of gloves and masks in accordance with government guidelines which can be found here when visiting and working in customers properties.
  • Engineers are required to keep their working area to an absolute minimum.
  • Engineers are required to make no physical contact with any customers and stay a minimum of 2 meters distance from customers at all times.
  • Engineers are not able to accept any offers of refreshment.
  • Prior to entering our property engineers are encouraged to ask if the customer has been advised to isolate, recently presented with any Covid-19 symptoms (Temperature, Cough, Shortness of breath) or come in to contact with any other persons outside of their household who have been advised to isolate.
  • Customers are to remain in a separate room whilst work is being carried out, non-compliance of this is at the customers own risk.
  • Customers are advised to keep the room/area the engineer(s) and work are situated ventilated where possible by keeping windows and doors open.
  • Arranging methods of safely disposing of waste with the householder if required.
  • Removing all waste and belongings from the work area at the end of a job.
